A concert of classic jazz will be held this weekend to fund the Museum of Black World War II History and honor black men and women in the military.

Proceeds from the event will support efforts to build or renovate a space in Stamford to relocate the Museum’s collection. The event, called “Swing into Spring”, will feature the David Coss Trio and will take place Sunday, May 3, from 4 to 6 pm at the Church of Christ the Healer at 20 Brookdale Road in Stamford. To find out more about the Museum and its efforts for a new building, visit www.blackww2museum.org.

Tickets are $55 ($40 for seniors or veterans), which includes a wine and cheese reception, and can be purchased by contacting Mabel Jorgensen at 203-348-6810 or mabeljorgensen@yahoo.com.

For more information, call the church office at 322-6991 or check the website, www.christthehealerstamford.org.
