Maple Sugar Festival Returns to SMNC Saturday

The Annual Maple Sugar Festival will return to the Stamford Museum and Nature this weekend. 

Starting on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. four talented teen chefs will battle with Maple Syrup in a competition to create the best tasting recipe as judged by the public. 

This year marks the 15th anniversary First County Bank will sponsor the family festival, which highlights the New England tradition of maple sugaring. 

Every year the festival brings together visitors from all over the area for crafts and activities, maple syrup treat tasting, a Sunday pancake brunch, and maple tapping demonstrations from maple trees on site.  

The Maple Sugar Festival will take place both Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. rain or shine at the Stamford Museum & Nature Center at 39 Scofieldtown Road in Stamford. Daily admission fee is $5 for museum members and $10 for non-museum members. Children under age three are allowed in for free.
