The Mianus River Park is now home to an Urban Oasis. City officials and community partners gathered Thursday to celebrate the creation of the oasis, a project of the Audubon Connecticut's Urban Oases Program, to create a network of habitats across the state for migrating birds.

Audubon Connecticut partnered with the City of Stamford and the Friends of Mianus River Park to create the oasis. It's one of several bird-friendly habitats across the City connecting people to nature.
