Comic Book Stores in Stamford and Norwalk are participating in the annual Free Comic Book Day, Saturday May 3.  The event runs from 11 a.m. through 7 p.m. at A Timeless Journey located at 2 Eighth Street in Stamford, and from 11 a.m. through 6 p.m. at Heroes Cards & Comics located at 197 Westport Ave in Norwalk.

According to a release, publishers use this event as a way to celebrate comicbooks as a uniquely American art form. Each of the participating publishers have prepared special comics that are to be given away free to patrons of participating stores.

While not all comics in the shop are free, this year, there are over 60 comics from essentially all the major comicbook companies as well as many of the mid-sized and Indie publishers that are available.
