"This is a city that I love, a city that has given so much to me and my family," said Michael Fedele, former Lt. Governor of Connecticut.

With family and friends surrounding him, Republican Michael Fedele thanked his supporters and conceded the race Tuesday night.

Supporters say they're shocked by the results.

Fedele lost to Democrat and Board of Finance member David Martin, by an unofficial margin of about 500 votes.
