Coming to Greenwich this weekend is a day of family fun that also supports a cause.
The event, "A World of Pure Imagination: Family Fun for Everyone" will feature a variety of creative and imaginative activities at Audubon Greenwich.
Activities include an inflatable bouncy house, slide, and obstacle course; face painting, arts and crafts, balloons, games, karate, Yoga by Shelly, and Zumba by Shaira; free child IDs courtesy of NY Life; popcorn, snow cones, and cotton candy. There will also be local cuisine provided by Melt Mobile; Burgers, Shakes & Fries; and Pinkberry.
Tickets are $50 per family or $15 per person. All proceeds will benefit The Center's Feeling Safe Program for Kids. The goal of the program is to curb sexual violence by teaching children preventative measures as well as providing children resources they need in case they happen to be a victim of sexual violence, or know someone who is. The program is offered free of charge throughout the eight towns of lower Fairfield County.
The Center for Sexual Assault Crisis Counseling and Education provides age-appropriate personal safety classes for children ages 5 to 18 to reduce their risk of becoming a victim, and education and awareness programs for the community at large.
The event will take place Saturday Oct. 19 at Audubon Greenwich from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information about the event, contact Shawn McKeon at The Center, (203) 348-9346. Visit www.thecenter-ct.org.
