Childcare Learning Centers is gearing up for its 10th annual gala this weekend, celebrating its accomplishments in the community as the leading pre-K non-profit in Southwestern Connecticut.

This year, CLC will recognize two community leaders for their ongoing support and contributions to the organization: Sharon Robinson, author, educational consultant to Major League Baseball and daughter of Jackie Robinson. And Rey Giallongo, Chairman and CEO of First County Bank.

Proceeds from the event will benefit CLC programs. And the support is much needed with plans for continued growth and expansion. CEO Marc Jaffe says three new classrooms were recently opened with four more scheduled to open by the end of June. CLC is also growing its corporate reading program and expanding its partnership with community organizations like Inspirica and the Edgehill Senior Home in Stamford.

The Gala will take place Saturday, April 25, at the Stamford Marriott at 6 p.m.The night will include cocktails, dinner, entertainment, a live auction, celebrity guests and more. For more information or to buy tickets, call (203) 323-5944 ext. 137. For more information about CLC, visit
