Stamford resident John Follis, Founder of Big Idea Video, created the Bully Video Project to raise awareness and encourage kids to stand up to bullying. Follis believes the most effective way to curb bullying is through a coordinated movement fueled by social media. Through his short videos with the message to stop bullying, Follis hopes the project will gain momentum, serving as a template to be replicated by students to make their own videos. Follis says he’s hoping to get the project into schools across the country. For more information, or to join the movement, visit Bully Video Project on

Follis has also recently launched another video project dealing with Domestic Violence. For more on Big Idea Video and Follis’ projects, visit or Big Idea Video on Youtube (
