A steel beam was raised 22 stories over downtown Stamford Wednesday to celebrate the topping-off of the City’s Summer House Project. The traditional ceremony marked the end of steel construction, with the structure standing at its maximum height.

The new apartment complex, located at 184 summer street, will be the City’s tallest rental building, at over 250 feet. It will hold over 200 apartments. Those who were a part of the project signed the beam before it was hauled away. Construction began in 2013 and occupancy is expected for August of this year. The project was created by the F.D. Rich Company, New York-based H.I.G. Realty Partners, and the Andalex Group with construction by Erland Construction and financing from the U.S. Bank.
