Sacred Heart University is celebrating a lot of firsts this weekend in Stamford.

The Stamford graduate center film and television master's program is the first and only in Connecticut -- and, hosting its first film festival in the city.

You can take part in the festivities at various locations like the Avon Theater, Palace Theatre and Stamford Innovation Center -- where Friday, Boardwalk Empire fans will be in for a treat.

The FTMA program is working to cultivate a robust film culture in the state and encouraging aspiring filmmakers to find their voice.
