To benefit student trip to West Africa

Stamford, CT | Added on March 31, 2014 At 01:26 PM

The Stamford Public Schools Rites of Passage Program will complete its ninth year of academic instruction in April and celebrate the students’ accomplishments with its Cultural Food Festival on April 5.

The Rites of Passage Program has served over 125 students in the Stamford Public Schools through its fourteen-week academic classes, and has culminated each year with a trip to West Africa, connecting the class work to a first-hand experience.  The program also participates in community service projects in West Africa and the Stamford Community.

The event will introduce the Class of 2014 to the Stamford community and all proceeds will go towards the trip to West Africa. Contact Sharon Wade at 203-977-4735 or for more information or to reserve a ticket.
