"This is our state! We run this!" said UConn Men's Basketball fan Elliot.

It was all about Huskies pride in Stamford on Sunday afternoon.

"We're from UConn. We went to school here, we went to parties here. It is all about UConn today." said Elliot.

UConn Men's Basketball fans piled into Bobby Valentine's to watch the Huskies take on the Michigan State Spartans in the Elite Eight game.

Violetta Mirjaj, a UConn alumni said, "I'm really excited because while I was at UConn they won the National Championship and they have the chance to do it again."

Fans say after being unable to play in last year's NCAA tournament, this game is huge for the Huskies

"We live here. This is my state. UConn all day, we love UConn. Everybody loves UConn here." said Anthony, a UConn Huskies fan.

"There are a lot of UConn alumni in the Stamford and Norwalk area so just to be with them here, even thoug I'm working it's nice. You get all the action going on right here," said Trevor Klien, a UConn alumni and waiter at Bobby Valentine's.

With a 60-54 win over Michigan State, the Huskies move on to the Final Four on April 5th against the Florida Gators.
