From pavement to vinyl, Stamford’s prospect street was transformed into a giant slippery slide on Sunday.
Slide The City, a Utah based amusement company brought their super slide to the Connecticut City for some summer fun. The sold out event brought continuous lines for 8 hours as people of all ages slid over and over again.
The slide spanned over 3 football fields in length, and was made right here in the USA.
To start off the event Stamford Mayor David Martin, Baseball Great Bobby Valentine and DSSD president Sandy Goldstein took the plunge. Mayor Martin shares his first person view with us.
Slide the city will be making its way through other major cities in the US and Canada, including New York, Hartford, Washington DC, Spokane, Tucson, Vancouver, Colorado Springs, Tallahassee, Miami, Nashville, Houston, Salt Lake City, Chicago, Boston, and the Jersey Shore.
