AITE students had a special visitor this week. Congressman Jim Himes stopped by the high school Monday to meet with students participating in the SIFMA Foundation’s Capitol Hill Challenge. The annual financial education competition teaches students investment skills by having them manage a hypothetical $100,000 portfolio.

Himes says student programs like these are important building blocks for a better economic future. And the Congressman says Monday’s forum, filled with insightful, intelligent questions from the students, is an indicator of how much they’re learning.
