Stamford resident Gene Rubino was the 70th name added to wall on the fourth floor of the City’s Government Center Tuesday for the Citizen of the Year Plaque Ceremony. The honoree was surprised with the news back in December.
Rubino, a Stamford native, founded Plaza Realty, the first full service real estate company in the Stamford area, now the largest management company in Fairfield County. Rubino has served the Stamford community for decades, working with non-profits such as the Stamford Youth Basketball League, the American Red Cross, and the Stamford Boys and Girls Club, to name a few.
Rubino will be honored at the City’s annual Citizen of the Year dinner on April 28 at the Italian Center of Stamford. For more on Gene Rubino, visit the link provided.
