For the first time since Super Bowl XXXIX, the New England Patriots will have the undivided attention of one special fan.

"This is my sister and I at the game, the Giants won," said Sister Carol Ann, the executive director of the Villa Maria Education Center.

Sister Carol Ann became a football and in particular New York Giants fan, while completing her degree at Fairfield University. The Giants held training camp at the university's facilities.

"They would say come and watch us practice, come to our games. I would send them congratulations cards when they won, and I would save newspaper clippings and I would bind them and give it tot hem, a whole year in review," said Sister Carol Ann.

Bill Belichick was an assistant coach for the Giants at the time. Fast forward, and the current Patriots head coach knows Sister Carol Ann loyalties lie with the New York team, but that's okay with him. Belichick wrote this letter to her after the Giants beat New England in Super Bowl XLII.

"Dear Sister Carol Ann, I just wanted you to know how touched I was last month by your thoughtful note and all your personal messages from you and the other sisters. I am so fortunate to have your friendship. Hopefully if we are ever in that game again, it can be against a different team so we can receive your undivided rooting interest. Thanks again so much for all your support over the years, You have been so good to me. I wish you and the sisters the best. Sincerely, Bill Belichick," read Sister Carol Ann.

Now Belichick and the Patriots are heading to Arizona for Super Bowl XLIX, and won't have to face the Giants.

"There's another side of Belichick that doesn't always make the news. If you listen to his letters, you know there is another side of Bill," said Sister Carol Ann.

Sister Carol Ann plans to watch the Patriots take on Seattle on Sunday and hopes the New England team has the higher score at the end of the game.
