Bow Tie Cinemas in Stamford will host a special screening of "Selma" this weekend, a film based on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s fight for equal voting rights in 1965 by marching from Selma to Montgomery.

Individuals who participated in the actual protests will share their experiences and all proceeds will fund Black History Month activities in Stamford this year. There will also be food and beverages served before the screening.

The event will take place this Saturday, January 10, at 10 a.m. For tickets call 203-322-3151 or email eaton.jere@gmail.com
