A local fashion boutique is supporting the fight to cure liver disease.

The Stamford store, Agabhumi, had a fall fashion party to raise money for the American Liver Foundation in advance of this year's Liver Life Walk.

The night included hors d'oevurs and of course, shopping -- with 20 percent of proceeds going directly to the foundation.  It's a cause very dear to owner Michael Kirshbaum's heart.

The Agabhumi team will walk again in this year's event in Stamford.  So far, the team -- led by Michael and his wife Regina -- is pulling ahead in donations.  They've participated since 2010 and are encouraging anyone who wants to donate or join their team to do so.

This year's Liver Life Walk is set for Sunday September 28 at Commons Park at Harbor Point, 100 Washington Blvd.  Registration opens at 9 a.m., stage program at 10 a.m. and the walk begins at 11.
