The Westhill High School Band wrapped up band camp this week on a good note. Band Director Michael Wyatt says the band is way ahead of schedule with learning the show in comparison to last year.

Wyatt says this year's band is also bigger than last year's, moving up from a group 2 band (41 to 55 members) to a group 3 band (56-74 members). Wyatt says the band will be attending National Championchips on November 8 in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

The 2014 show, called "Africa," is a 7-minute long arrangement derived from concert band pieces that will portray African music and styles.
