Four aspiring engineers from Stamford got to learn the ropes this summer.
Marybelle Raymond, Michael Hoherchak, Adriana Franco, and Isaac Witlin interned with the city's engineering department.
Working for City Engineer, Lou Casolo, they gained experience they never thought they'd receive.
They greeted and directed the public and attended city and public hearings -- one hearing addressing plans to take down trees on Upland Rd.
They also worked in the field and organized old documents from the sacred heart academy at Strawberry Hill Ave. -- the site purchased for a new elementary school.
The students interned through the Mayor's Youth Employment Program and each took away something different from their experience.
