15-year-old Tazio Torregiani has a couple more trophies to add to his collection of over 100. The Stamford High School student has been racing go-karts around the world since he first hit the gas at age six. And two recent wins have put him one step closer to winning a National Championship title.
Tazio has been competing in the WKA Manufacturer Cup National Series. In April, he took a first place win in South Carolina, describing it as one of his best wins yet. Then in July, Tazio brought home another first place win from a race in Indiana.
With his chances getting better and better, the young kart racer says he has his eye on the prize. With four races to go, Tazio says he’s focused. He will compete again in August in Indiana and says he’s dedicating his races to the promotion of safe driving among teens.
