Himes Meets with Women Business Owners

Congressman Jim Himes met with women business owners from Fairfield County Monday.  He visited with them at the Women's Business Development Council in Stamford, discussing their experiences when starting and growing their businesses.  

Himes says when he was sworn-in in 2009 to represent Connecticut's fourth district, a solution was developing during the economic downturn.

"The single most important thing you can do to generate development and economic activity is to empower and enfranchise women," said Congressman Jim Himes, (CT-4).

The congressman also strategized with business owners today how they can continue improving their business.  Also, learning about the benefits they've gained from partnering with the WBDC.
