Stop drop and roll, fall and crawl, don't hide go outside- just a few of the tips kids learned at the Red Cross Education for Kids Safety Town.
"It's a program for four and five year olds who are entering kindergarden and we just teach them pretty much everything they need to know about safety and emergency services that we have here in Greenwich," said Safety Town Instructor Francesca Libassi.
The youngest members of the community learn from videos, hands on activities, and some special guests.
"I love when the firemen come. I think it's just the best day. I love it when the police come and the EMT come. They are all so great and I think the kids really enjoy it. It's my favorite part to see them interact with all the emergency services," Libassi said.
Children watched as one firefighter put on his safety gear and they even saw the jaws of life in action. But the most exciting part...
"We sprayed the hose," said participant Spencer Smith.
"You spray it back if you want it on and spray it forward to turn it off," said Safety Town participant Molly Bogardus.
Participants even got to learn road safety rules in their own mini safety town.
"I think it's just a great program. They have a lot fun and they also get to learn a lot," said Libassi.
