South Norwalk Library Offers Suicide Prevention Training


Learn signs and ways to prevent a suicide crisis

The South Norwalk Branch Library will host the last in it's free QPR (Question, Persuade and Refer)  series on suicide prevention training, Tuesday May 27 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The education program is designed to teach ordinary citizens how to recognize a mental health emergency and how to get someone at risk the help they need. 

The program will teach attendees how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis, learn how to offer hope, and know how to get help and save a life.

Child care, sponsored by the Norwalk Early Childhood Council is available for children ages three and up by pre-registration. 

The South Norwalk Branch Library is located at 10 Washington Street, in Norwalk.

The events in this series are free and open to the public. Registration is available online or by calling (203) 899-2790 x15902.
