Fire Damages Pearl East Restaurant
Police, fire marshal investigating

Stamford police and fire marshal office reinvestigating a blaze that caused severe damage to Pearl East on Summer St.  Police say they received a call that the Chinese restaurant was on fire at 4:30 a.m.  

The building is surrounded by debris and the interior, in ruins.  

"I'm shocked.  I'm totally shocked," said Marc Fraioli.  

Marc Fraioli owns property next door.

"It is terrible.  It's shocking.  I can't believe it," said Fraioli.  

As of this afternoon, police say a sniffing dog was brought on site to find any possible evidence of arson.  

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
