Students at Turn of River Middle School will be performing a musical this week they are writing, directing and producing.

Each year, the 8th graders work with English teacher Dawn Greco and Darryl Gregory, the school's former music teacher, to work on "Project Soul."

Project Soul is a year-long program in which students write their own original musical based on their middle school experiences.  They produce and direct a show, performed for the entire school community.

This year's production, "Pure Pressure" focuses on the many pressures middle school students face  and, as important, the ways in which they are able to find relief.

The performance will take place Wednesday, May 21, with two day-time shows scheduled at 9:15 a.m. and 1:45 p.m. and an evening show at 6:30 p.m. at Turn of River Middle School, 117 Vine Rd.
