Stew Leonard's celebrated easter a bit early on Tuesday.
Children age nine and under roamed through the store to collect eggs for Stew's fourth annual easter egg eggs-travaganza. Every year the free event brings together families from the the area.
"The event is really just a great community event," said director of public relations Meghan Bell. "We get so many regular costumers here at Stews and we really watch their children grow over the years so having an event like that's free to the community, it's just a lot of fun."
Children were able to meet the store's beloved characters including Clover the Cow, Cynthia Chick, and Daphne Duck and take a picture with the Easter bunny.
"I'm excited about meeting all the characters, and being here because I haven't been here in a while," said one child.
"Seeing the line of folks that are patiently waiting outside, it's pretty amazing," said Bell. "I think it has been a long, cold winter and everybody just excited to get out of the house and celebrate spring time."
Each egg contained prizes ranging from candy to stickers, DVDs, and gift cards.
