Attention foodies: A new show is coming your way and it's sure to highlight the flavors of Connecticut. Westport-born Alison Grace, owner of AMC Catering in Wilton, will appear in "Kitchen Casino" Monday, April 21st. It is the Food Network's newest debut, featuring four chefs racing against a clock in an attempt to win $30,000.
“It's cooking your brains out but with a time limit," she described.
It all began with an email, said Chef Grace. The Food Network sent her an invitiation via cyberspace, asking for her to submit an application.
"I have no idea how they found me," she said. "But it was a perfect fit for my personality."
Chef Grace can't dish too much more on the show until it airs. But, here's what she can tell us: Her recipe for success.
Working in restaurants her entire life, Alison has been awarded many honors, including being selected “Chef of the Month” by several Connecticut newspapers. Previously, she was the Executive Chef at The Sunset Grille in Norwalk Cove Marina. And today, in addition to owning her own catering company, she teaches at Staples High School.
Following her debut, we will sit down with Chef Grace and learn more about her endeavor. Until then, Bon Appetit!
