You may have seen him on the Food Network’s Kids Cook-Off. And Young Chef Hunter Zampa just keeps turning up the heat. The 13-year-old chef recently competed on a second Food Network Show, this time leaving victorious.

Hunter was one of four teen chefs to compete on The Food Network’s “Chopped, Teen Talent Edition.” The episode debuted in December and Hunter says he still can’t believe the outcome.

The competition put the young chefs through three elimination rounds. For each challenge, the chefs were given a basket of secret ingredients to make a dish with. Hunter says it was a close competition.

Hunter’s win earned him a $40,000 college scholarship to The Art Institutes’ International Culinary Schools, where he can continue to follow his dreams.

And this is only the beginning for the young teen, who says there are more Food Network appearances on the way. For now, Hunter is focusing on giving back. The chef has several fundraising projects on his plate, including starting his own charity.
