Dasher, Dancer, Prancer and Blitzen helped kick off the 5h Annual Reindeer Festival and Santa's workshop Friday afternoon in Greenwich.
"People have been anticipating the return of the reindeer and Santa, and it's just a really neat town tradition," says Tammi Ketler, President of TMK Sports & Entertainment.
Santa came down the Avenue with his reindeer, First Selectman Peter Tesei and Selectman Drew Marzullo and ended at McArdle's Florist and Garden Center.
"This is a great day to kick off the Holiday season here in the town of Greenwich," says First Selectman Peter Tesei. "The reindeer have arrived from the North Pole, we have Santa Claus here at McArdle's, and everybody is in a very festive and holiday spirit."
"Cold fun, I look at kid faces, parent faces, adult faces, and Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, it's a great day," says Selectman Drew Marzullo.
McArdle's was packed with visitors as families waited in line to meet Santa and get a better look at his reindeer.
"We developed this event really to showcase Greenwich," says Ketler. "And what better way than with live reindeer and Santa to celebrate the holiday season in one of Connecticut's most beautiful towns."
Santa and his reindeer can be seen at McArdle's 7 days a week until December 23rd.
