Members of the YMCA Greenwich Aquatics Community swapped their bathing suits for the latest trends Wednesday evening. Mother and daughter duos strutted the looks down the runway for the Pre Gala Fashion Show at Saks Fifth Avenue in Greenwich.

"This is such a great opportunity to help benefit such a wonderful cause here," says Geri Corrigan, Director of Marketing for Saks Fifth Avenue. "For the Greenwich community, the Y serves so many members of the community and we're happy to support and give back to the community."

The event aims to celebrate the YMCA in a festive kickoff as well as to raise awareness of the Y's primary fundraiser, "Set Sail…destination Havana 1940", to be held in March.

"This is our pre gala kickoff party and our gala is going to be on March 1st so tonight the money we raise will go towards our programs," says Ed Phillip, President and CEO of the YMCA of Greenwich. "We gave out $180,000 in financial aid this year, we try to keep our programs as affordable as possible for people in the community so it really helps us give that community feel here at the Y."

This is the first year that Saks Fifth Avenue has hosted the fashion show for the YMCA and they will donate part of the evening sales to the Y For All Campaign.
