Alan Sosnowitz served in the army during the Vietnam War.

Pobie Johnston, in the women's army auxiliary chore during WWII.

The Stamford veterans shared their stories with fellow veterans and students at the Academy of Information Technology and Engineering Tuesday morning.

Students say it's an honor to learn about their experiences first-hand -- something they can't get from just a textbook.

AITE has hosted veterans for breakfast for seven years.  It's become a tradition and celebration of those who serve.
