Stamford's building department is becoming more tech savvy.
Mayor Michael Pavia announced phase I of Stamford Permit -- a permitting software online. The web-based program will provide users access to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, gas and demolition building permits.
Those kiosks will be available on the government center's 7th floor.
The software was developed by Massachusetts based company ViewPoint.
The city also launched its MyStamford 311 app. The app's purpose is to make it easier for residents to alert the city on any questions or issues. Like seeing a pothole in a road.
The third and final phase of Stamford Permit is set to launch in December. The MyStamford app is available for free download for Apple and Adroid phones.
