It’s the ultimate showdown between Stamford Police and Firefighters. The departments will face off in the 5th annual guns and hoses wing eating competition Thursday night.
The event raises funds for the Fight For Air Climb. Each year, climbers race up 33 flights of stairs to the top of Stamford’s Trump Park building. The climb, organized by the American Lung Association, raises money for lung disease.
Last year, the police took home the victory, breaking the firefighters’ three-year winning streak. The contest will begin at 9 p.m. at Bradford’s Grill and Tavern on Bedford Street. There will be an open bar, pasta buffet, and raffle drawings from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tickets are $40.
Stamford’s 5th annual Fight For Air Climb will take place on October 19. For more information, visit FightForAirClimb.org.
