It's that time year, when avid boaters come out to the Norwalk Boat Show.
"You've got sun, you've got water, you've got boats. So, it doesn't get much better than that," said Steven Kase, who traveled from Katonah, NY for the show.
"Just look at it. All the boats, the fishing lines, lures, holes. This is a big kid's dream," said Jonathan Hillstrand from Discovery Channel's Deadliest Catch.
The 38th event showcases boats from more than 200 local businesses. There's a little bit of everything for sale, from yachts to kayaks.
"The boat show is just a great display of all sorts of boats and we like sailing and power but we're now looking for a power boat. So it's the right place to be," said Nancy Roath, a New Canaan resident.
"There's nothing like messing around in boats. There's nothing better than that. It's just the feel of it, the water, it calms me, it excites me, does both. It's like a good cup of coffee," said Kase.
And for those who just want to enjoy the last days of summer, a boat ride is one way to do just that.
"It's a really great experience for the entire family to come out and for the serious boater as well," said Jon Pritko, show manager of the event, sponsored by Progressive Insurance.
"It's a gorgeous day outside and it brings a lot of people together and it certainly brings business to this area," said Roath.
"It ends the summer and begins the fall and it's just a great time to be out here in Connecticut," said Pritko.
The show runs 10 am to 6 pm through this Sunday at Norwalk Cove Marina, 48 Calf Pasture Beach Rd, Norwalk.
