Stamford resident Suzanne Bellehumeur has been painting murals for 25 years.
But this summer was different. She got to paint outdoors for the first time.
"I can't tell you how gratifying it is to do mural work for the public," said Bellehumeur
Now her hard work can be seen on the Palace Theatre's South wall facing Kiwanis Park.
"We worked together to come up with four acts that might happen on a regular basis. So we have the rock band, the diva singer, the ballet dancer and the quartet," said Bellehumeur.
Stamford Downtown commissioned the mural. Bellehumeur started painting in June and finished it in August.
"The wonderful surprise I had working outside were the hundreds of people that came by and talked to me all summer," said Bellehumeur. "It's an honor, I'm humbled, and I just appreciate everybody validating my hard work and efforts."
