Democratic Mayoral Candidate David Martin announced his education plan for Stamford Public Schools Thursday. Martin was joined by a small group in the Board of Education boardroom at Stamford’s Government Center. Martin revealed a five-step plan to improve the City’s schools.
To help students succeed, Martin says he plans to increase access to pre-school, restore enrichment programs, and accelerate English language acquisition. He says he will continue to advocate for the City’s schools, as he did on the Board of Finance and Board of Representatives.
On Thursday night, Martin held a rally outside of the Old Town Hall, where he was endorsed by 21 Board of Rep. members. Martin will face Democratic candidate William Tong in a primary on September 10.
