On Monday, August 26, 2013, the First Congrational Church of Greenwich will celebrate the 49th Grand Reopening of The Rummage Room.
The Rummage Room began in 1964 as an annual rummage sale held at The First Congregational Church of Greenwich. Due to the success of the event, it was transformed into a business housed in a storefront at 191 Sound Beach Avenue in Old Greenwich.
Operated by the Women's Fellowship of the church, who began the event, The Rummage Room is a place to find a bargain, donate your new or gently used items and/or make a tax-deductible donation. Over the past 35+ years, The Rummage Room has been responsible for contributing over 2 million dollars to local, national, and international benevolent organizations focused on women, children and families.
The Rummage Room's 49th Grand Reopening Sale will start Monday, August 26 at 10 a.m. and continue all week 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday.
