Former Lt. Governor Michael Fedele will continue his run for Mayor with the endorsement of Stamford’s Republican Town Committee. Fedele beat out Board of Ed. Member Jerry Pia by 5 votes at Tuesday night’s nomination convention.
Fedele was nominated by RTC member Jim Rubino, followed by committee member Roseanne McManus. Pia says he plans to file a petition and run against Fedele in a primary.
The committee also nominated candidates for the Board of Representatives, Board of Finance, Board of Education, city constable, and town clerk.
The Democratic City Committee will hold its nomination convention Wednesday night at the Sheraton Hotel.
