Texas Governor Rick Perry visited Stamford Monday evening to deliver a speech as part of the City's "Civility in America" series.
The Governor met with Mayor Michael Pavia prior to the event, and remained in the auditorium meeting members of the public and posing for photos after his appearance. In addition to his prepared speech, Perry took questions from members of the audience during the presentation.
The event took place at the Ferguson Library in Stamford. The Governor's visit is part of a larger 5-day tour of Connecticut and New York in which Perry is "sharing the formula for Texas' successful job creation climate."
