Nature lovers and kayaking enthusiasts are invited to join the Greenwich Land Trust for a unique and exciting outdoor adventure! On Saturday June 15th, paddle into Greenwich Land Trust’s Annual Family Kayak Trip. Come explore the beautiful scenery and abundant wildlife of Greenwich’s off-shore gems - Shell and Calf Islands.

This exploratory voyage will take kayakers to Shell Island, a 5 acre property owned by the Greenwich Land Trust. Adventurers can also enjoy guided tours of neighboring Calf Island hosted by the Calf Island Conservancy. Naturalists will be available on both islands to discuss the numerous inhabitants of Long Island Sound.

This is an opportunity to learn from experts about the ecology and history of these coastal habitats and spot the many plants and animals that call these islands home.

Participants are invited to pack their own picnic lunch, and bring their own kayak if they have one.  Information on renting 1 and 2 person kayaks will be provided once an RSVP to the event is received. Suggested donations for the event are $25 per family. Participants will launch at 9AM from Byram Beach in Greenwich. Please RSVP to Jacinta@gltrust.org or call (203) 629-2151.
