In the winter, it's all about tasting maple syrup at the Stamford Museum and Nature Center.
In the spring...
"It's an evening of food and wine," said Melissa Mulrooney, the executive director of the Stamford Museum and Nature Center.
The museum and nature center will host its 16th annual wine tasting Friday. The event will feature food from over 20 restaurants, and wine provided by BevMax.
"We want people to be able to purchase good wines. They have an opportunity to taste them in advance. When they buy their wines here, a hundred percent of the profits come to the Stamford Museum and Nature Center," said Mulrooney.
Mulrooney says this is the largest fundraiser that supports their programs. On average, the museum serves 180,000 people and 113 area schools per year.
"We're really embedded this community, and we're proud of that," said Mulrooney.
This year, the organization will honor Purdue Pharma for its longtime support.
The wine tasting will take place June 7 at the Stamford Museum and Nature Center. Tickets will be available at the door. For more information, visit their website. Stamfordmuseum.org
