Thousands of people gathered at Columbus Park in Stamford to put hope in motion. Sunday marked the Bennett Cancer Center’s eighteenth year hosting the Hope in Motion walk, run, ride to benefit the Center’s vital programs.
Liz Manfredo, Director of Cancer Services at the Bennett Cancer Center, says over 4,000 people were expected to participate and help the Center reach its $1,000,000 fundraising goal. She says about $800,000 was raised as of Sunday morning, and is confident the goal will be reached.
Cancer survivors at the event say they owe their lives to the Bennett Cancer Center.
