The first Saturday in June means a giant tag sale at the United Church of Rowayton.
"Twenty-two years we've been doing this," said Kris Jenkins, one of the tag sale's coordinators. "The first year we did I think this we raised $3,000. Every year it's gotten bigger and bigger."
Starting at 9 am Saturday, you can get your hands on just about anything, ranging from what Jenkins calls "funky, eclectic" pieces of jewelry, to a poker table complete with four leather chairs.
"It's in incredible condition," Jenkins said.
Last year the tag sale raised $21,000. All the money goes to the church and its outreach programs. Jenkins said up to 20 percent of the church's budget is dedicated to its outreach programs locally and around the world.
