Norwalk residents lined up along East Avenue to take part in the Norwalk Veterans Memorial Committee's Annual Memorial Day Parade
The parade kicked off at Veteran's Memorial Park and traveled down East Avenue past City Hall and ended at the Norwalk Green.
This year, the Veterans Memorial Committee honored a female veteran as Grand Marshall for the first time in parade history.
This years parade include marching bands from Brien McMahon and Norwalk High School, the police and fire departments and various non-profit organizations.
The Committee says they are dedicated to honoring those who have served our country.
