All around Connecticut this Friday, workers are being encouraged to bike to work.
"It's healthy, it's fun, it's a green alternative," said Alex Karman of the South Western Regional Planning Agency. "It can save some cash. You can have fun on your way to work, which isn't always the case when you're driving on I-95."
Locally, Bike to Work Day is being sponsored by the South Western Regional Planning Agency. SWRPA is holding two bike to work events Friday morning in Stamford and in Norwalk.
Last year, we caught up with bikers in Stamford.
"[Biking] gets me some exercise without having to spend extra time going to the gym," said Stamford's Jerry Silber.
Bike to Work events will take place from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. in Stamford's Veteran's Park and at the South Norwalk Train Station.
