Here is what made news this week.
It's been in the works since 1929. It wasn't approved until 2001. But on Thursday, finally, Stamford unveiled the first finished product of Mill River Park. The park is billed as Stamford's own Central Park, with additions like a carousel and ice rink still to come. The 28-acre park is expected to be completely open by 2015.
Norwalk is taking on a big project of its own. Norwalk Hospital announced its largest ever expansion Friday in the form of a new ambulatory pavilion. The $30 million project will add 95,000 square feet of new space, double the size of the hospital's emergency care center and improve its outpatient services.
And in Greenwich, the town's Historical Society added six new sites to Greenwich's local landmarks. The new landmarks include the Howe-Wilson House, the John Lockhart House and the Belle Haven Club.
