Stamford Center for the Arts will have auditions for its Emerging Young Artist Scholarship Saturday at 2 p.m. Nine high school vocalists from Trinity Catholic High School, Westhill High School, Brookfield High School, Ridgefield High School, Shelton High School, and Notre Dame Catholic High School will audition. Three professional adjudicators will oversee the auditions.
This is the fourth year SCA will be awarding its Emerging Young Artist Scholarship to a vocalist in honor of Liza Minnelli. The winner will receive a $2,000 scholarship to pursue his/her musical education, presented on June 21 at the annual Palace Theatre Gala.
