Here's what made news this week.
In Stamford, Democrat David Martin is back in the race for mayor. Martin announced his bid Monday night, seeking election after losing to Michael Pavia in 2009. Martin served for 22 years on the city's Board of Representatives and more recently on its Finance Board.
In Norwalk, the Oak Hills Park Authority moved forward with its plan to install a driving range alongside the golf course at Oak Hills Park. The authority approved a request for proposal Tuesday and will accept bids on the driving range from construction firms. Despite some continued public outcry, authority Chairman Bob Virgulak says the driving range makes financial sense.
In Greenwich, the Greenwich Arts Society is partnering with Bruce Museum to bring art to the city's youth. The society began its "After School Art" course in late February, and it allows students to create their own art projects reflecting current exhibits at the museum.
