The Tuskegee Airmen and Red Tails Aircraft. That's the theme for this year's 9th Annual Black History Month Student Art Show. After being postponed due to February's snowstorm, the opening reception for the art show finally took place Sunday night at the Palace Theatre.

Every year, organizers choose a different theme for the show related to black history. Participating students must then come up with artwork pertaining to that theme. One student used her talents to sculpt the Tuskegee Airmen out of clay

The show’s organizer, Valerie Cooper, says over 200 students from Kindergarten to 12th grade participated in this year's show.

The black history exhibit will be up until the end of April at the Palace Theatre Sackler Gallery.
